Moon Bunny
I knew of Moon Bunny because of the previous game, Steam Up: A Feast of Dim Sum. Even though I didn't end up keeping that game in my collection I was wiling to give this publisher another try. I was drawn in by the beautiful cover art and since they delivered well last time I felt more at ease that they'd succeed in their second project.
As is with Steam Up, which got known for its squishy dim sum components, the publisher definitely likes to keep up the quality with their game components. Here, all the tiles are of high quality acrylic. And they retained the well liked squishy food with the mooncakes here.

The gameplay is very simple. On your turn you'll move your bunny on the main grid to collect a herb or recipe tile and then add it to your grid. Often you'll be building out in a checkerboard like way as one of the main ways to get extra turns is by surronding a recipe tile with herbs on all sides. Some herbs will grant you mooncakes which let you buy special one time use abilities or switch out your rabbit as they have two different movement styles. The game ends when there's no more recipe tiles or if the bag runs empty when refilling the board.
It's a very light and family weight game, and for that I guess I don't have as much to say about it. The art and components are beautiful, there's a slight puzzle with arranging your tiles and the movement of your rabbit, but otherwise it's just a simple game with nice production. Unfortunately, I can see this leaving the collection just beacuse its too light for my tastes.
