Flip 7

Flip 7 is such a simple little game, a cross over of Blackjack style play of push your luck without busting with a little bit of Uno like take-that style of action cards. The goal is pretty simple, first to accumulate 200 points wins. On your turn you'll either hit or stay, and if you ever get the same numbered card, you bust. There are certain action cards such as Freeze or Flip Three that you can play on other players. The round ends once everyone has passed, busted, or if someone manages to have 7 numbered cards. The tricky aspect is that the numbers also tell you the odds, there's twelve numbered 12 cards, so even though they give you more points its also likely to make you bust.

I had fun pushing my luck, there was a time where I got back to back Flip Three cards and I played them on myself and it worked out. Even got to 7 cards that round. Later in the day, met up with friends at Zulu's Board Game Cafe and we actually played this as our starting filler game while we ate. Because of how it plays it was easy for me to drive the game and make sure turns and actions were taken quickly, and people had a fun time reacting to others busting or pushing their luck successfully.
